Change

Change is the only constant. I got a call from a friend saying he was fired today, I can honestly say he was a victim of an inefficient infrastructure but arguments about fair aside - how do we deal with change? Especially when this change is beyond our abilities to affect?

The first reaction is numbness followed by anger, and anger can be a catalyst for positive change.

Between incident and our reaction to it we can choose.

Choose to use the pain to learn rather than running away from it. Use the anger at the unfairness of it all to sit in meditation until we can see the emotion without reaction.
