Is Your Home Business Recession Proof

I am working on an ebook that addresses proactive management of one's business. It specifically goes into the unique world of the home business. We usually do not think that the global economy affects our business until it is too late.

Personally I coach "constructive paranoia" in this area.

When your business is succeeding it is difficult not to take it for granted, why plan for the next five years? This is WHY you got into business in the first place - right? Live in the moment.

While this is not bad advice, it is true that we do not plan to fail, we simply fail to plan.

• So do you have liability insurance? Do you know if you need it?
• Are you incorporated? This is a hassle in some states with all the stupid fees attached to this process. But do you need to?
• You had a plan to build your home business into a money making entity but now that you are there - now what? Do you really need a plan?

The global economy has presented us with many challenges but also enormous opportunity. The Internet has allowed me to coach business owners on the other side of the planet - literally. This would be impossible or too expensive just ten years ago.

So now that I am here, I have worked out a specific but flexible plan to prevent complacency.
