This is a timely book.
Having coached small business owners for almost 4 years now I am surprised how resistant many are to enforce a No Asshole rule and even stupefied that some even find asshole behavior productive.
Now I am not referring to the necessary occasions where once has to discipline an employee or even a business partner, but the fear based organization where everyone looks over their shoulder - where backstabbing is a job requirement.
So in an era with mass layoffs (Citibank announced 15,000 are about to loose their jobs) motivating employees to be productive is hard enough. Every business owner should enforce the No Asshole Rule.
